Founders
Leanna Lo is a senior at Northwood High School and is excited to lead SciConnect. She was a captain for Sierra Vista SciOly in the 2022-2023 season, and is currently the Northwood SciOly program president. She competes mainly in physics, inquiry, and engineering events, earning over 220 medals, including nearly 80 gold and 5 national medals. In her free time, you can catch her making a million matchas and playing Candy Crush.
Leanna Lo
Gordon Wong is a senior at Troy High School and an assistant coach for Sierra Vista since 2024. He has participated in Science Olympiad for 6 years amassing 250 medals and also participated in USESO camp twice. His main passions in science include the physical sciences, especially fields among geophysics like oceanography and meteorology. In his free time he enjoys lockpicking and solving random integrals!
Gordon Wong
Jeremy Lee is a sophomore at OCSA. He has competed in SciOly for three years and won nearly 150 medals spanning 19 events. Two-year team captain and AIME qualifier, he specializes in inquiry events. He plays cello and piano, also composing music for orchestra. He currently has 16k Clash Royale trophies across two accounts and 38k brawl stars trophies, his greatest achievement yet.

Andrew Zhang is a senior at Portola High School and has been competing in Science Olympiad for 5 years now. Academically, he focuses on STEM and is a full stack developer. Outside of school, he runs a freelance photography business in Southern California. A fun fact about him is that he's fluent in FL Studio and DJ software. He is responsible for the back-end routing, front-end coding, and web hosting solutions.

Lydia Lo is a sophomore at Northwood High School and is stoked to be a part of SciConnect! She was on Sierra Vista’s National team from 7th–9th grade, serving as their 2025 championship captain and earning over 180 medals total. Now Sierra Vista’s Assistant Coach and a Northwood SciOly competitor, she specializes in environmental science and inquiry events. A fun fact about her is that she is obsessed with pink and unicorns. Lydia is responsible for content, website, and instructor management.

Anthony Tatsuta is a junior in the Film and Television Conservatory at OCSA. At school, he focuses on STEM subjects, math and chemistry namely, as well as being a Cinematographer and Video Editor in conservatory. He was on OSCA's Division B SciOly team, and outside of school, his main hobbies are competitive soccer and VEX Robotics. A fun fact about him is that he enjoys consistently beating Jeremy and his friend in a Minecraft 1v2. He is responsible for animation, photography, and videography.

Noella Lee is a junior at OCSA, and she plays harp and piano. She was an Environmental Strand Captain for OCSA in the 2024-2025 season. This is her fourth year competing in SciOly, mainly focusing on environmental and identification events. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, playing project sekai, reading books, and reconnecting with nature.

Ryan Jo is a sophomore at Northwood High School and has been competing in Science Olympiad for 4 years. He was a part of Sierra Vista's Science Olympiad team and accumulated over a 100 medals. He mainly competes in inquiry and build events but has competed in almost every single event. In his free time he will probably be running or playing Brawl Stars.

Ashley Li is a high school senior from San Diego. She is a member of her school's Science Olympiad team as well as Science Bowl and Quizbowl club. She enjoys learning about biology, chemistry, and earth science. Her favorite rock is travertine. Outside of science, Ashley likes running and volunteering at the hospital.

Benjamin Wang is a junior at Raleigh Charter High School and a two-time, back-to-back North Carolina state champion in Astronomy. He currently serves as a captain of Raleigh Charter SciOly and hopes to help end his school's national tournament drought. Having competed in 12 events throughout his SciOly career, Astronomy remains his favorite. In his free time, he likes to play tennis, take care of his 12 pets, and rot on Cyberpunk 2077.

Arya Aia is a sophomore at Portola High School and is excited to be an instructor at SciConnect. Arya has been competing in Science Olympiad for 4 years and has consistently won medals at the invitational, regional, and state levels. Arya is fascinated with biology and enjoys competing in Anatomy and Physiology, Disease Detectives, and Designer Genes. At SciConnect, she hopes to spread her passion for Science Olympiad to younger students.

Charlotte Laetsch is a rising senior at Harriton High School, and is looking forward to teaching Dynamic Planet! She has been a captain for Harriton Scioly for the 25-26 and 26-27 years. She competes mainly in Earth science and inquiry events. When she’s not doing Science Olympiad, she’s usually reading, hiking, or playing board games with friends.

Adith Alagiri is a senior at Arnold O. Beckman High School and is ecstatic to teach ELG and Wright Stuff. He is currently Beckman Science Olympiad’s president and is nicknamed ‘codebustersdemon’(he loves codebusters). Amy is a sophomore at the Orange County School of the Arts and is entering her fifth year of competing in Science Olympiad. She is a member of OCSA’s varsity team and competed as a Division B competitor while serving as the Earth Events Strand Captain. She loves competing in earth and environmental events. Outside of SciOly, Amy can usually be found crocheting, watching movies, or playing piano.

Vicky Guo is a junior at Moravian Academy in Pennsylvania and is enthusiastic to teach Thermodynamics for Sciconnect. She competed for Mason Middle School and Mason High School SciOly from 2023-2025. Her competition focus was in inquiry and engineering events, though she now has an interest in physics and chemistry. In her free time, you can catch her with her friends, adventuring, or locking in at a Starbucks.

Devansh Marwaha is a freshman at Northwood High School, coming from 4 years of Science Olympiad experience in Divisions A and B. He was on the Varsity Team for Sierra Vista Science Olympiad and went to Nationals, winning 3 medals. His events mainly focus on Earth Science and Physics topics. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, solving the Rubik's Cube, and playing Minecraft.

Emerson Kim is an incoming freshman at Northwood High School and is the instructor for the event Hovercraft. He will become the Sierra Vista Science Olympiad team captain this season and he won the 2025 National Tournament. He has competed in Science Olympiad for 5 years, earning 70 medals while competing in biology, inquiry, and engineering events. In his free time you can probably find him at the tennis courts.

Zoe Jaurigue is an incoming freshman at Northwood High School. She started her Scioly journey at Northwood Elementary in Division A and recently competed at Nationals in Ping Pong Parachute. Her main events are chemistry based and build events and her favorite event is Experimental Design. Outside of Scioly, she enjoys playing card games, pool, and ice skating.

Siyona Arun is a rising sophomore at Northwood High School and is excited to be the instructor for Water Quality. She was a Captain for Sierra Vista SciOly in the 25-26 season. In addition she competed in her 7 and 8 grade years. Her events included physics, inquiry, chemistry, forensics, and environmental science. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends at the beach and watching Netflix.

Emma Chen is a rising sophomore at Northwood High School and is thrilled to be the Food Science instructor for SciConnect this year. She served as a Captain for the Sierra Vista SciOly team during the 2025–2026 season, helping lead the team to their second national championship title. Emma competes primarily in chemistry and biochemistry events, and is currently diving deep into organic chemistry and genetic engineering. Outside of science, she is a passionate cellist, and in her free time, you can find her drawing or listening to Vocaloid songs.

He founded the Los Altos Science Olympiad team and invitational, and helped grow it into a larger, more active team. Gabby Lan is an incoming second year at UCSD majoring in Environmental Systems (Earth Science track) and plans to add Mechanical Engineering (Renewable Energy specialization). She competed at Northwood HS and Sierra Vista MS 2020–2025 in Earth science events as well as Flight and Helicopter. As an avid cloud and digital camera enjoyer, she frequently runs out of storage due to her photos.
