Leanna Lo

Leanna Lo is a freshman at Stanford University, and past captain of Northwood HS & Sierra Vista MS. She competed in physics, inquiry, and engineering events, earning over 220 medals, including nearly 80 gold and 5 national medals. In her free time, you can find her making a million matchas!

Gordon Wong

Gordon Wong is a freshman at Stanford University studying physics and previous captain for Troy and Sierra Vista. He competed in Science Olympiad for 6 years amassing 270 medals and also participated in USESO camp twice. In his free time he regrets his decision to support Tottenham Hotspur.

Jeremy Lee

Jeremy Lee is a junior at Orange County School of the Arts. He has won over 150 medals spanning 21 events. Two-year team captain and two-time AIME qualifier, he specializes in inquiry events. He plays cello and piano, also composing music for orchestra. He currently has 68k brawl stars trophies.

Lydia Lo

Lydia Lo is a junior at Northwood High School and the past Sierra Vista National Team Captain. She competes primarily in environmental science and inquiry events, amassing over 200 medals and 5 national medals. You can usually find her diamond painting while thinking about her next fantasy read.

Cassie Li

  • Cassie Li is a junior at NTHS and has competed in SciOly for six years. She competes mainly in biology, chemistry, and inquiry events and enjoys traveling and good food.

Noella Lee

  • Noella Lee is a junior at OCSA, and she plays harp and piano. She was an Environmental Strand Captain for OCSA in the 2024-2025 season. This is her fourth year competing in SciOly, mainly focusing on environmental and identification events. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, playing project sekai, reading books, and reconnecting with nature.

Charlotte Laetsch

  • Charlotte Laetsch is a rising senior at Harriton High School, and is looking forward to teaching Dynamic Planet! She has been a captain for Harriton Scioly for the 25-26 and 26-27 years. She competes mainly in Earth science and inquiry events. When she’s not doing Science Olympiad, she’s usually reading, hiking, or playing board games with friends.

Vicky Guo

  • Vicky Guo is a junior at Moravian Academy in Pennsylvania and is enthusiastic to teach Thermodynamics for Sciconnect. She competed for Mason Middle School and Mason High School SciOly from 2023-2025. Her competition focus was in inquiry and engineering events, though she now has an interest in physics and chemistry. In her free time, you can catch her with her friends, adventuring, or locking in at a Starbucks.

Siyona Arun

  • Siyona Arun is a rising sophomore at Northwood High School and is excited to be the instructor for Water Quality. She was a Captain for Sierra Vista SciOly in the 25-26 season. In addition she competed in her 7 and 8 grade years. Her events included physics, inquiry, chemistry, forensics, and environmental science. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends at the beach and watching Netflix.

Carson Lv

  • Carson Lv is a junior currently attending and competing for Northwood High School. He is a former captain of Sierra Vista's Scioly Program and current Assistant Coach for the team. He has earned upward of 180 medals in his time competing. Furthermore, he has done builds, inquiries, physics, and earth science events during his time competing, with his favorite being Road Scholar. During his free time, he enjoys watching and playing baseball while occasionally hopping on a video game or two.

Liran Zhu

  • Liran Zhu is a senior at Troy High School who is interested in chemistry. Having competed on the Troy and Sierra Vista SciOly teams in 10th, 11th and 7-8th grades respectively, Liran has accumulated roughly 110 medals, including 5 from nationals and 5 from states. Liran is also a USNCO camper and can be found watching birds, finding rocks, or looking at the weather.

Xander Shah

  • Xander Shah is a junior at Orange County School of the Arts for the harp. He captained for the environmental strand in OCSA Science Olympiad Division B Team in 2024-2025 season. In his free time he enjoys reading books, especially Asian fantasy and historical fiction novels and playing board/card games. During vacations, he enjoys collecting tree samples!

Ashley Li

  • Ashley Li is a high school senior from San Diego. She is a member of her school's Science Olympiad team as well as Science Bowl and Quizbowl club. She enjoys learning about biology, chemistry, and earth science. Her favorite rock is travertine. Outside of science, Ashley likes running and volunteering at the hospital.

Amy Song

  • Amy is a sophomore at the Orange County School of the Arts and is entering her fifth year of competing in Science Olympiad. She is a member of OCSA’s varsity team and competed as a Division B competitor while serving as the Earth Events Strand Captain. She loves competing in earth and environmental events. Outside of SciOly, Amy can usually be found crocheting, watching movies, or playing piano.

Devansh Marwaha

  • Devansh Marwaha is a freshman at Northwood High School, coming from 4 years of Science Olympiad experience in Divisions A and B. He was on the Varsity Team for Sierra Vista Science Olympiad and went to Nationals, winning 3 medals. His events mainly focus on Earth Science and Physics topics. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, solving the Rubik's Cube, and playing Minecraft.

Ferris Li

  • Ferris has enjoyed studying biology ever since starting Science Olympiad in middle school. Whether it is genetics, anatomy and physiology, or epidemiology, it all fascinates him. He hopes to spread his interest in biology to as many people possible.

Benjamin Wang

  • Benjamin Wang is a junior at Raleigh Charter High School and a two-time, back-to-back North Carolina state champion in Astronomy. He currently serves as a captain of Raleigh Charter SciOly and hopes to help end his school's national tournament drought. Having competed in 12 events throughout his SciOly career, Astronomy remains his favorite. In his free time, he likes to play tennis, take care of his 12 pets, and rot on Cyberpunk 2077.

Miya Lin

  • Miya Lin is a sophomore at Northwood High School. She was a Captain for the Sierra Vista 25-26 Div B team and competed in both biology and engineering events at the National level. She has been apart of SciOly for the past 5 years and can't wait to share what she's learned to students on SciConnect!

Emerson Kim

  • Emerson Kim is an incoming freshman at Northwood High School and is the instructor for the event Hovercraft. He will become the Sierra Vista Science Olympiad team captain this season and he won the 2025 National Tournament. He has competed in Science Olympiad for 5 years, earning 70 medals while competing in biology, inquiry, and engineering events. In his free time you can probably find him at the tennis courts.

Gabby Lan

  • Gabby Lan is an incoming second year at UCSD majoring in Environmental Systems (Earth Science track) and plans to add Mechanical Engineering (Renewable Energy specialization). She competed at Northwood HS and Sierra Vista MS 2020–2025 in Earth science events as well as Flight and Helicopter. As an avid cloud and digital camera enjoyer, she frequently runs out of storage due to her photos.

Kelly Au

  • Kelly Au is a sophomore at UCLA and a former member of Northwood SciOly's executive board. She competed mainly in chemistry and biology events. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, watching TV shows and movies, and baking.

Arya Aia

  • Arya Aia is a sophomore at Portola High School and is excited to be an instructor at SciConnect. Arya has been competing in Science Olympiad for 4 years and has consistently won medals at the invitational, regional, and state levels. Arya is fascinated with biology and enjoys competing in Anatomy and Physiology, Disease Detectives, and Designer Genes. At SciConnect, she hopes to spread her passion for Science Olympiad to younger students.

Chloe Zhang

  • Chloe is a sophomore at Ladue High School and a 4x SONT medalist who loves Codebusters and Crime Busters. On a random day, you can catch Chloe at the ice rink, playing video games, or trying new foods. She considers herself quite good at Block Blast.

Zoe Jaurigue

  • Zoe Jaurigue is an incoming freshman at Northwood High School. She started her Scioly journey at Northwood Elementary in Division A and recently competed at Nationals in Ping Pong Parachute. Her main events are chemistry based and build events and her favorite event is Experimental Design. Outside of Scioly, she enjoys playing card games, pool, and ice skating.

Kevin Chen

  • Kevin Chen is a student at Northwood High School who's been in SciOly for 2 years and is currently on the Northwood team. His favorite event is definitely Codebusters (50% of his medals), but he also does Circuit Lab and some builds too. Outside of Scioly, he plays basketball and volleyball for the school and enjoys hanging out with friends and playing games.

Ryan Jo

  • Ryan Jo is a sophomore at Northwood High School and has been competing in Science Olympiad for 4 years. He was a part of Sierra Vista's Science Olympiad team and accumulated over a 100 medals. He mainly competes in inquiry and build events but has competed in almost every single event. In his free time he will probably be running or playing Brawl Stars.

Pranav Yaramalla

  • Pranav Yaramalla is a senior at North Carolina School of Science and Math and is excited to lead Circuit Lab B/C. He is the current captain of the NCSSM team. He mainly competes in Earth and Space, Physical, and Life Science events. In his free time, you can catch him watching shows and at the gym.

Yingling Yang

  • Yingling Yang is a senior at Granville High School in Ohio. She is a captain for her school team and enjoys competing in biology, chemistry, or life sciences. She spends her free time reading, growing her Youtube playlists, and baking.

Emma Chen

  • Emma Chen is a rising sophomore at Northwood High School and is thrilled to be the Food Science instructor for SciConnect this year. She served as a Captain for the Sierra Vista SciOly team during the 2025–2026 season, helping lead the team to their second national championship title. Emma competes primarily in chemistry and biochemistry events, and is currently diving deep into organic chemistry and genetic engineering. Outside of science, she is a passionate cellist, and in her free time, you can find her drawing or listening to Vocaloid songs.

Aadhi Suresh

  • Aadhi Suresh is a junior at Northwood High School. He competes in Northwood Science Olympiad and previously was a Captain for Sierra Vista Scioly in the 2024-2025 season. He competes in physics, astronomy, and engineering events. In his free time he likes playing piano, watching F1, or running.
